Balancing Books, Dreams, and Skin Care

Balancing Books, Dreams, and Skin Care

Hey there, it's Khyati, your friendly neighborhood 12th grader, entrepreneur, and founder of Hawa Skin. As I write this, I’m surrounded by open textbooks, college application drafts, and my trusty laptop (which has seen more late-night brainstorming than it probably signed up for). Life right now is a whirlwind—a beautiful, chaotic whirlwind—and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

When I launched Hawa Skin, I thought I knew what hard work was. I mean, I’d poured my heart and soul into creating a brand that reflects my vision for beauty—natural, weightless, and empowering. But balancing that dream with school, college applications, and prepping for entrance exams? That’s a whole new level of hustle.

Every morning, the first thing on my mind is Hawa Skin. It’s my baby, my heart and soul, and the culmination of years of dreaming and planning. I wake up thinking about new product ideas, how we can make our packaging more eco-friendly, or how to connect better with our amazing customers. And oh, speaking of customers—thank you! The love you’ve shown us has been nothing short of overwhelming. Since our website launch, we’ve sold 1,178 lip oils (to be exact!), and every single sale feels like a dream come true.

But I’d be lying if I said it’s been easy. There are nights when I’m up until 2:00 AM tweaking product descriptions or answering customer queries, only to wake up at 6:00 AM for school. There are days when I juggle my internal assessments at school with brainstorming marketing strategies. And let’s not even talk about the endless college application deadlines.

Still, amidst all the chaos, there’s this unshakable belief that keeps me going—a belief in Hawa Skin and what it stands for. It’s not just a business; it’s a way to bring joy and confidence to people’s lives. Every DM from a customer who loves their lip oil or feels more beautiful because of our products fuels my drive to keep going, no matter how tired I am.

I’m beyond grateful for the journey so far—for the lessons, the challenges, and the incredible support from all of you. Building Hawa Skin while navigating the final year of high school hasn’t just been a test of time management; it’s been a test of passion, resilience, and love for what I do.

To anyone reading this, whether you’re chasing your own dream or just trying to make it through a tough day, know this: it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. It’s okay to take a moment to breathe. And most importantly, it’s okay to lean into the things that set your soul on fire, even if it feels hard. Because those are the things that make it all worthwhile.

And before I go, I have some exciting news! I’ve been working tirelessly on new products that I believe you’re going to love. They’re innovative, one of a kind, and crafted with the same love and care as our lip oils. These new launches are coming very soon, and I can’t wait to share them with you.

Thank you for being part of this incredible journey. Here’s to balancing books and dreams, one lip oil at a time.

With all my love and gratitude,
Khyati
